At FORMIN, we protect lives and operations in underground mining with cost-effective, tailor-made solutions of certified quality.
We combine four decades of experience designing solutions exclusively adapted to our clients’ challenges. Thanks to our own factories and specialized team, we guarantee total customization, continuous improvement, and quality with the strongest steel for structures in extreme environments. Here, experience is not measured in years but in trust built underground!
In a country in constant transformation, where the industry keeps growing, engineer Luis Arenas decided to dream, think, and act big, driven by his experience in the steel and mining sectors.
It all began at the young age of 23 when he started his corporate career at one of the most important steel companies in the country. There, he discovered the world of steel, mining, and industry in general.
His entrepreneurial spirit led him to found his first business: importing steel from Europe and Venezuela for commercialization in the Peruvian market.
However, after a few years and faced with the volatility of metal prices, he understood that the true value was not only in marketing steel but in transforming it. This is how the idea of creating industry was born.
He identified mining as a sector in full expansion and decided to bet on it. He was not wrong. His first successful product was formwork.
One year later, during a trip through Europe — visiting Spain, the Netherlands, and Sweden — he reaffirmed his conviction: transforming machines, materials, and supplies was a viable process with great potential.
It was then that he founded “Industria de Fortificación Minera S.A.C.”, a Peruvian company with a clear purpose: to specialize in mine support and contribute to the development of the national industry.
